Not Dead

"The cost of living here has gone up and people are being pushed out further and further from the areas where the cool things were happening just a few years ago. It’s not the same, so a lot of people tend to be like, 'New York is dead.' I just think you have to search a little harder and go a little farther to find the cool stuff, but it’s definitely still out there. There’s a history and cultural energy here that doesn’t exist anywhere else, and I feel like I kind of forgot that until I left for a while. I went to LA for four months and when I came back I was like, 'Oh whoa. Yeah, New York is not dead as I thought it was.'"
